Peeps,

Space is becoming available at the Sunshine Biscuit Factory in East Oakland.

Our friends at space #301 are vacating, leaving behind a loft conversion space, roughly 2,600 square feet including three bedrooms -- two small rooms and one larger open loft space. This is a two story ceiling loft conversion with three bedrooms total, bathroom, full kitchen, and outdoor patio. Total rent is in the $1900 range -- about $2,200 with utilities et cetera. Deposits here are small, so I'm pretty sure total move-in is just over $3,000.
The Sunshine Biscuit Factory is located a few blocks from Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART, in a gentrifying but still funky area of East Oakland. The rest of the building contains a mixture of artists and members of the Goth/Industrial scene and Bay Area arts underground. It is best known for the Fee Verte parties at Orbis Nex, though #220 and #303 have had successful events of their own lately, including the recent SPAZ himalayan party.
As concerned neighbors, it is in our best interest that the people we live near have a like-minded agenda. #301 has already been host to some very meaningful private parties -- something for which the place is very naturally suited. We would rather see it continue to enjoy that sort of usage rather than falling into the hands of someone with a different agenda. We would rather see it go to the community.

If interested, we recommend you contact Sean at attackmandibles@assassinbeetle.net. I will happily pass on contact info for building management.

Love and Light,

~S~
